TURNER, BRIAN DARRELL

TURNER_Brian Darrell was born April 24th, 1954, ushering in a life of passion and dedication to family and friends, and the preservation of the finer things in life: cars, tractors, cats, and antiques. He left us suddenly on March 20th, 2006. Memories of his loyalty, humour, compassion, and honesty will remain in the hearts of all whose lives he has touched. Brian's life was fueled by his love for rebuilding and customizing cars and tractors, an interest that he inherited from his father. Together with his soul mate and wife, Sherry, he valued the treasures of past times, and enjoyed cruising, camping, and listening to music. Brian will be remembered for his contributions to the Antique Auto Association, the Outsiders Car Club, and numerous other organizations. Brian was predeceased by his father, Lorne Turner, and his motherin-law, June Rabbetz. Brian is survived by his wife of 28 years, Sherry, his children Kimberly (Robin Vogt), Bradley (Almeda Boodhoo) and Lindsey (Darcy Petford), his mother Doreen, and sisters Gayleen and Sr. Dianne, and numerous other relatives. A memorial gathering will be held at Lumsden Centennial Hall on Saturday, March 25th between 2-4 pm. To honour Brian's love for cars please wear your car club attire or casual wear. A final cruise will take place later this year. Donations may be made at the memorial gathering towards the completion of Brian's last car restoration project which will be finished by his friends and displayed at Majestics.
