Willibrod Wilbur Stephen Tomecko June 15, 1923 June 23,
2010 Wilbur passed away peacefully at Regina Pioneer Village in Regina at the
age of 87 years. Wilbur was predeceased by his parents Stephen & Anna Tomecko;
brother Gerald Tomecko; sister Geraldine Tomecko; brothers in law Charles
Lawson, George Smith, Dennis Crumley, Geoff Cooke & Ernie Ward; & sisters in law
Doreen Tomecko & Irene Crumley. He is survived by his wife Marie; son Timothy
(Linda) Tomecko; daughters Joanne (Jim) Tomecko, Karen (Curt) Moye, & Dianne
(Darrell) Hopkie; grandchildren Tracy Thomas, Steven Hollaczek, Shanda Morgan,
Dallas Morgan & Glen Morgan; great grandchildren Kyra Thomas, Sara Hollaczek,
Kaitlyn Hollaczek, Taylor Morgan & Mason Morgan; brother Theodore (Fran) Tomecko;
sisters Georgina Lawson & Kathleen-Anne Tomecko; as well as numerous nieces,
nephews, and special life long friends Ernest Antonio & Mike Walker. Wilbur was
born on the family farm at Lipton. While working on the farm, he also operated a
successful delivery business. After moving to Regina, Wilbur met Marie and they
were married in 1955. For over 30 years Wilbur owned and operated Dominion
Driving School, one of the most successful driving schools in Regina. Devoted to
farming, he also operated his own grain farm west of Regina for many years until
his retirement. Wilbur's true passion was restoring antique cars. From the
initial search for that special vehicle, through the entire restoration process,
to the final finished product, Wilbur's meticulous attention to detail and
demand for perfection were well-known. Travelling to car shows with family and
friends gave him many years of enjoyment. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday,
June 28, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Sherwood Dr. & McIntosh
St. Interment will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Sacred Heart
Cemetery in Lebret, SK. Those wishing to attend the interment, please meet at
the Sacred Heart R.C. church in Lebret at 1:45 PM. The family would like to
thank all the staff and volunteers at Regina Pioneer Village for the wonderful,
compassionate care Wilbur received during his time there. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made on behalf of Regina Pioneer Village to the Hospitals of
